Studying the Evolution of Flickr Network

In this paper, we propose methods and experiment with Flickr network to solve two problems. First, we study how the community in a social network evolves over time. We then report our findings about community evolution and new node behavior in the Flickr network. Second, we define the leader group of a network and propose novel mothods to measure the evolution of leader group. We then propose a machine learningbased method to predict a user’s leadership status change over time. The experiment on Flickr network gives promising result.
